we had hoped to make this happen in october but our bust travel schedule made november look much better. here is the good news about november. throughout october we are looking to travel from paris, to aus, to honk kong - as well as some other side trips along the way (hopefully germany) so we will have some fresh and diverse footage to share with everybody at the experience.

evo is our premiere experience. it is the most advanced and the most in-depth of anything we offer. hosted in our education studio in mississauga, this three and half day workshop covers everything to take you from videographer to cinematographer.

join the sm family for an in-depth discussion on storytelling, light, same day edits, color, and branding. aside from the technical side of things, we really try to focus on helping each person find their unique voice and helping them understand how they can interpret things differently on their way to creating their own style.

while a portion of the workshop will be hands on gear training, steadicam training, and shooting techniques, the focus of this experience is more about developing your thought process and we hope that through the many discussions, sharing, and practical shooting exercises, you will come out seeing things in a completely different way.

this is an advanced level experience. while we welcome people from all walks of life, please be prepared for long hours, lots of material, and a fast pace.

wihle we try to make our examples generic to all editors, FCP will be the standard we use for color and same day edits. all attendees will be editing footage they shoot while here, so a laptop with FCP is certainly an asset. those who do not have a laptop will have access to a group computer to do editing on, though it may mean longer hours if many people need to share.

the investment for the three day experience is $3099CDN which includes all meals while here, transportation, and hotels. we offer shared accommodations as part of the experience, but you can inquire about a private room should that be desired. though some are reluctant in the beginning, those who opt out of a shared room always end up regretting it after seeing how close we all get, as well as the editing party in the hotel at the end of day two.

creating a brand is never an easy task. it's not even a task - it's a long term development, but it needs to start somewhere and this is where stillmotion can help. having created a well-known brand standing in the industry, amongst couples and within the corporate market we have the insight needed to help you create a strong presence as well.

these brand consultations will involve a one on one session to determine exactly what is happening with your company's positioning and where your strengths and weakness' are. you will be sent a questionnaire to determine where your company's profile is at in terms of naming convention / brand equity / your brand story / the promises you are making with your clients / your advertising strategies / using social media networks / overall look and feel of your designed brand / all marketing collateral and how cohesive it is.

after the questionnaire is completed we schedule a meeting or phone call to discuss the research on your company's competitor analysis and where you need to improve with all the above strategies in place. at that time you will also provide all of your visual communications you send out (branded collateral) to be critiqued. it's an open conversation which means you can pepper us with as many questions to gain a better understanding on branding and how a better positioning is the key to elevating not only your brand but your worth.
